The Calgary Venom

Calgary’s newest sledge hockey team is recruiting! The Calgary Venom began play within the Calgary Sledge Hockey Association in 2011-12. The club is intended for novice sledge hockey players with and without disabilities under the age of 18 years old. The Venom play six non-league games per season against other teams from within Calgary Minor Hockey and from the sledge hockey community. They practice on Saturday from 6:15 to 7:30 at the Stew Hendry Arena (814 13 Avenue NE). The team also participates in the novice division at the annual Western Canada Sledge Hockey Tournament. The team is always looking for new players to try the sport and actively seeks opportunities to demonstrate sledge hockey in schools or other community based programs.
